In the beginning...
We all began this journey the same way - me, you, everyone; a blank canvas. This is the truth about humanity since the evolution of our species. From that moment on, every decision made by every human being has been based on one of two emotions; love or fear. Then, after thousands of years of lies, manipulation, greed, violence, and war - in the seventh year of the twenty-first century...

Occupy Your Rights
January 28, 2012
That is the truth about how we all arrived at this situation. One in which, there are only two types of people left; those that benefit from the MACHINE and those that suffer from it.
The balance of this division is slowly and certainly shifting to a point where the majority of the human race is so impoverished that they can't afford the necessities of life. Food, water, clothing and shelter have become a luxury for them. These are our brothers and sisters and we are allowing them to suffer and die while we protect the MACHINE because we're afraid.
The really sad truth about this is, the longer we fear change, the more the MACHINE will continue to consume us. So, today there are more of us who were dragged from the side of benefiting and defending the MACHINE to the side of suffering and having less influence over it; and tomorrow that number will grow some more and the day after that it will grow a little more...until...we change or kill each other into extinction.
Now the unimaginable sick reality that sincerely makes me violently ill is that there is an infinitely small group of elitists who are so disgustingly gluttonous that they would rather consume all the oxygen in a room before sharing it with a suffocating child. What a wonderful community that will be when they are all that is left of us, and make no mistake, that is exactly where this sickness is inexorably going.
So, Occupy wants to know what to do next, as if they have actually accomplished something already. Well, here's an idea - OCCUPY YOUR RIGHTS. No, fuck that! Try first acknowledging them for one minute and when that minute passes, work on the next minute until you are aware of your rights as a human being for the first time in your life and finally on your way to being truely free.
The True Nature of Being Human
February 1, 2012
One of the unexpected problems with discovering the truth after a lifetime of being defrauded is the cynicism one naturally feels toward anyone that continues to support the offending system. It can cause those who see the world for what it really is to feel alienated from friends, family and people in general. It is very difficult to relate to people whom you feel are living a lie.
Truth - it is a funny thing, it is completely personal. What I mean by that is we can only really be certain of our own experiences because everything else is second hand information and requires trust. So when I talk about truth, what I'm really talking about is my truth and not yours. So it is important for us to remember that the lie we see others living is not a lie to them - it is as much the truth for them as ours is for each of us. This is the mistake we all make when relating to each other and it is the source of many divisions in our society.
Treating the views and opinions of others as valid when they conflict with your own can be challenging. This is especially true when we are talking about issues which are fundamental to the suffering of so many. If we think about it in a practical way, the reality is that we all can't agree on anything until we, at the very least, try to listen to one another first. It is natural that we have differing views and opinions because we all have our own individual and unique experiences. This opportunity to share our experience with one another is nature's way of educating each of us, and without it we would all suffer from a very narrow view of the world, void of any personal growth or maturity.
The trouble really begins when we try to control each other. This is exactly what is wrong with our present social system. Our endless list of laws, regulations, policies, rules and guidelines are all the result of trying to control what we fear. If you doubt the ineffectiveness of this approach, you really should open your eyes for a moment and look at the state of the world today. The level of crime and violence is undeniable proof that this system of judgement has had little success.
I know what you're thinking..."is he nuts?" No, I don't believe I am. I just feel that there is a better way of dealing with the abhorrent behaviour we all fear. We don't need laws or control, what we need is compassion. That's right people, no law, no judge and no jail; just compassion.
Will compassion for others solve all the crime and violence in the world? No, not immediately, however, it will generations from now and that is fine with me. Each of us already faces the risk of crime and violence on a daily basis. Do you think that this can get worse? Maybe it can, but how much worse is it going to get if we continue down the path we are on? See, no one knows the future, but fearing the possibility of an increase in crime and violence is silly when we already have a history of it under the current system.
I want my children to know a world where society tries to help those that obviously need it, not punish them. The true nature of being human is that we are all born with a conscience and that is what will allow our society to improve over the long term. Helping each other by caring for those of us who have never experienced any real kindness, love or respect is what will bring people together and heal a very sick society. I realize that it will be difficult and there will be moments of helplessness, but tell me how that is any different from where we are right now. The only difference is that we will actually have some hope. This is something much of the world is sorely lacking today.
Many of you will claim that I am a radical and I think that you are absolutely right. I actually prefer it this way. I do not want to be a part of the MACHINE and I am tired of feeling ashamed that I don't belong to it. I do not agree with anything our society now represents and never will. Each of us must decide when we are ready to examine our lives and the world we live in. This is called maturity and it is what society needs to begin working towards.
Then The Darkness Fled The Light
February 4, 2012
Okay for the three of you left that aren't completely convinced I'm a nickel short of a dollar, I will elaborate on a compassionate method for dealing with crime and violence.
To be perfectly clear, It is my belief that we could live together peacefully without a need for the laws which now attempt to force us into compliance. My objection to our judicial system is simple. I am a peaceful man and I don't feel that forming an armed gang to police, apprehend, cage and kill my brothers and sisters is any less violent than the so-called crimes it fails to prevent. Even more objectionable, is that this is done in the name of a law written in a language so convoluted it is designed to complicate our defence of it. Truthfully, I am mildly amazed at how a scheme created by a relatively small group of power hungry cowards deceitful enough to conspire such a system has survived so long.
As for the practical application of a more civilized approach, let's agree that the idea of crime is a legal one and it is only necessary for those who claim ownership of their possessions and require control over those who choose not to cooperate with their demands. The removal of ownership through the implementation of the Resource Based Economy, as explained by The Zeitgeist Movement, along with the technological solutions they also speak about, will virtually eliminate all non-violent crime and a good portion of the violent crimes as well.
We are then left with the control issue and any aggressive behaviour not yet eliminated. As far as control over others goes, this is impossible and the recent acts of violence, labeled "Terrorism" is the only proof required here. So, if it is impossible, then we better figure out how to minimize and eventually eradicate the behaviour which we all fear and have no control over.
Now imagine a world where there is no poverty and all the necessities of life are available to everyone for free. Does it seem possible that most of humanity will see this as a significant improvement and want to support and protect it? With the majority of humanity willfully working together to maintain the trust which this new community has established, those who pursue an effort to undermine this trust will consequently be part of a significantly small minority with or without a single law.
Never the less, any destructive behaviour, regardless of its infrequency or influence, must be addressed. The impact of aggression on its victims is what should motivate good people into action. The question is what action is appropriate and helpful while still being compassionate. The answer is simply, public identification. Although, it is an obvious invasion of the offenders' privacy, the inherent right for everyone to live peacefully should far outweigh ones right to privacy. So there it is, by using technology and community involvement, society is able to investigate, confirm and identify those individuals who choose to act agressive to others.
The severe polarization of attention and shame one would bring upon themselves by participating in any anti-social abhorrent behaviour counter to the common good of the community will certainly be an effective deterrent. In fact, it will likely even eliminate any requirement for monitoring the individual. The instant infamy they acquire among their peers will create enough public awareness and caution that, in most cases, they will no longer have the opportunity to offend.
As we all know, there are always exceptions. I do believe that even in extreme cases where one continues to offend with no apparent consideration for the consequences of their behaviour, the community will come together and rally around this individual to find a solution which effectively prevents the behaviour and treats their disorder in a humane and appropriate way.
Here is what I know about evil, it operates in the darkness and flees the light. This is how humanity should approach this issue. Deal with it openly and honestly. If we can do this, while never losing sight of the behaviour which is so self-destructive that it obviously begs for help, then maybe hope exists for all of us even the misguided.

The following is the history of this document as explained by www.charterofrights.ca:
"...Unlike the United States Constitution, Canada's Constitution..." (Passed in 1867) "...did not have a 'Bill of Rights' that governments had to follow.
In 1960, the federal government passed the Canadian Bill of Rights. This law statute was not part of the Constitution. It had no more power than any other law. The Bill spoke of fundamental freedoms, legal rights and equality before the law. But if a law itself was discriminatory, the Bill of Rights was generally not helpful. As well, the Bill only applied to federal, not provincial laws.
Because Canada's original Constitution was an Act of British Parliament, it could only be changed by Britain..."
At which point, a new Constitution that included the Charter of Rights and Freedoms referenced above was eventually agreed upon and passed as law by the MACHINE and its political representatives.
"...all of which is in the Canada Act, 1982. Receiving the approval of the Britain for the last time, on April 17, 1982 in Ottawa, Queen Elizabeth II signed the Canada Act, 1982. This gave Canada control over its Constitution. The guarantee of rights and freedoms in the Charter became part of the supreme law of the land. The equality rights section of the Charter was delayed until April 17, 1985. This gave governments time to update laws to meet equality requirements..."

Now at the age of 43 after living under the law imposed upon me by those who claim to be my representatives, much like many of you, I am unemployed, in debt and facing bankruptcy. This is a law which will essentially ruin my name and take from me everything they deem valuable. I will no longer qualify for employment with many of their corporations; they will take control of my finances determining how I spend what little money I am able to earn under these new more oppressive conditions; and finally, they will do me the favour of taking my ability to buy the money they manufacture.
Let me be very clear about one issue immediately...I represent myself. I have never knowingly, given anyone the right to represent me. The laws that these people have forced upon me are meaningless because I have had no fair participation in the creation of them. I am a human being just like them, equal in every way. I was born into this world with the same rights as every one of us and those rights are not given to me by anyone.
My rights are determined by nature alone. This earth is my home and I am entitled access to all of the resources I need to survive as all of you are. They do not own the earth and its resources; they have taken these things from us and we have allowed it.
I am done listening to them talk about their solutions to my problems. I am done being lied to. I am done ignoring their theft. I am done being their slave. I am done allowing them control of my life. And I am absolutely done suffering for their greed.
Individually, none of us has the power to reclaim our right to survive but together we absolutely do. You, whoever you are, wherever you live, have a choice to make; are you done suffering or not? If you are, then contact me and let's end our suffering together.
While We Sleep
February 18, 2012
The Zeitgeist Movement with several hundred thousand members worldwide is one of the most organized and successful grass root movements on the planet today. Yet the truth is, until membership reaches numbers at least 2000 times that and until every individual member is committed to and focused on pursuing one simple common goal, there will never be any real hope of effective change.
If this is discouraging to you...good! Maybe it will motivate all of us to start working on an effective strategy! The success of this community to date, as impressive as it is, is less than a tenth of 1% of the progress required to accomplish even the simplest of goals. These numbers may be difficult to read, but I am only interested in discussing the reality of the situation. Without an accurate idea of where we are, we cannot hope to get to where we need to go.
The problem and the ultimate solution have been identified clearly and completely, however, the path between the two is more abstract and elusive today than ever before. I am not saying this to criticize. I am saying it to motivate. We have an opportunity to awaken the world to the severity of our problems and the gravity of our future but this will not happen without first establishing a simple and concise objective that everyone can understand, commit to and fight for. Otherwise, we will simply be seen as another source of stress, frustration and helplessness in the media.
So my question for you is this. What should our first tangible objective be? This is something we must all decide on together, but I will start the discussion with a suggestion. Eradicate starvation and homelessness worldwide! It doesn't get much simpler or more concise. Additionally, it is hard to argue with, even for the notorious 1%, at least publicly. If this sounds like a hurdle too high to begin with, then pick either and isolate it to one geographic region. Where we start is not nearly as important as whether on not we actually do, in fact, start.
Here is what I believe we must first realize - there are approximately 7 billion people on the planet. One billion are so impoverished that their only objective is basic survival. Seventy million are so greedy that they are incapable of caring for anyone but themselves. Subtract infants and the severely infirm and we are left with approximately 4-5 billion potential members. Assuming half of which are so attached to the identity the MACHINE has created for them, they would rather die miserable than admit they are living a lie. That leaves us with 2.5 billion, optimistically. So, what objective will 7 billion people be unable to disagree with? And more importantly, what action will a third of them be willing to sign on to, fight for and have a reasonable chance of accomplishing? These are the parameters that the first actionable objective must operate within.
The most difficult challenge I foresee is first, our inability to listen to each other and second, the lack of sensitivity we feel toward the plight of our brothers and sisters. I am not referring to existing members, who have obviously, overcome these personal character flaws. However, the billions of walking dead, whom we hope to awaken most definitely suffer these two serious defects. That is why I feel the first tangible objective we communicate to them must be simple, concise and indisputable.
This also requires a message powerful enough to jerk the average person out of their coma. My personal message to everyone is this..."Your brothers and sisters are being slaughtered by the MACHINE while you sleep, so wake up because you are next!" How is that for a tag line? Not your typical billboard slogan, is it? It is going to take the persuasion of no less than one sixth of humanity to wake up and get behind one clear objective, for our chance of taking the first positive step down the path of transition to succeed.
These ideas are simply my attempt to get our community moving from a positive conversation to an actionable objective. My personal style of communication often tends toward the overtly abrasive and dramatic when discussing that which I am passionate about. This approach is likely not the most agreeable one, however, I am quite certain that one of you will come up with an objective and a message we can all approve of. The future of humanity is undeniably dependent on our collective ability to pursue a purpose of such clarity that no one can possibly doubt it.
The Insidious MACHINE
March 2, 2012
It was estimated by the United Nations recently, that it would cost approximately 195 billion dollars per year to feed the hungry. Coincidentally, Forbes published that the top ten richest people last year had accumulated a net worth of over 400 billion dollars between them. The complete list of a record 1,210 billionaires stated their total combined net worth to be 4.5 trillion dollars. A few of the industries these people manipulated to acquire their fortunes consisted of telecommunications, software, finance, retail and commodities.
Assuming these numbers are accurate, which they most certainly are not, we could feed every single starving human for one year with less than half the assets that ten people on this planet currently have control over. There are approximately one billion humans currently suffering from extreme hunger today. These people live every minute of their lives in an existence immeasurably more deplorable than you or I have even imagined for one short moment. This is happening while ten people alone could easily end their suffering for a year and still be better off than 99% of the human race.
The financial system has become a weapon used by the most devious among us to impoverish, dehumanize and murder the least fortunate humans on the planet. These same people have also successfully convinced the vast majority of the human race to willfully enslave themselves.
The MACHINE or "financial system" these people have employed is coming to an end, however. This is mainly because the entire planet is virtually bankrupt. What that means is, a small portion of the human race owns everything of value and what is left over is not enough to sustain the rest of us. So slowly but certainly, each day more people lose their main source of income, then if they have any, they will burn through their assets or social assistance benefits, claim bankruptcy and inevitably live in such poverty that they are no longer able to impact this insidious MACHINE until they are fortunate enough to die.
I like many of you have been forced to face these realities whether I like it or not. Losing my job due to the closure of the company I worked for, I will soon be forced to claim bankruptcy. What is truly bothering me about this is that the MACHINE will take from me the assets it deems valuable and add them to an already endless list. This, for me, is an unthinkable outcome which I intend to prevent.
I am sharing this with you because I need your support. It is important to me that my last financial contribution be used to help those who actually need it and not to further enrich those who already have more than they require. The members of the Zeitgeist Movement should be able and willing to organize a charitable entity which enables people like me to donate their assets to a righteous cause before the rich are able to steal them from us.
This is a simple concept, but it will require the cooperation of everyone in our movement. Additionally, the complications created by various legal and regulatory institutions will require the expertise and commitment of many knowledgeable people. It is an effort that will only succeed if each of us insists that it does.
I have been suffering over a way in which I personally could help those who have been ignored for much too long. This effort is very important to me and I sincerely hope that it will become important to all of you as well. I firmly believe that anything is possible when a group of people pursue an effort to help those who desperately need it. Although most of us do not possess the resources necessary to make an impact individually, together we absolutely do.
